The China National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases (NCRC-ND) is based on the Beijing Tiantan Hospital affiliated to the Capital Medical University. In August 2013, the establishment of NCRC-ND was formally approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China, National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Health of the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army, and the former China Food and Drug Administration. It is also the first clinical medical research center for neurological diseases identified. The establishment of the center is a major measure for the country to deepen the reform of the medical system and implement the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan for Medical Science and Technology Development”. It carries the clinical medicine of neurological diseases created by the higher authorities to strengthen the construction of medical science innovation system and enhance clinical research capabilities. The task of transforming highlands with research. The center is oriented to the needs of disease prevention and control in China. It is guided by clinical application, with medical institutions as the main body and supported by collaborative networks. It is a national science and technology construction base integrating clinical research, technological innovation, academic exchange, personnel training and international cooperation.
Center positioning: conducting high-quality evidence-based medical research; verifying new technologies and methods; implementing multidisciplinary cross-transformation research; developing and promoting appropriate grassroots technologies; exploring clinical research methods and management models; and building a platform for national clinical research public technology support.
Center Foundation: The Center is currently the largest clinical medical research platform in the field of neurological diseases in China. It has the world's largest internationally standardized clinical and sample resource pool for neurological diseases. Its neurosurgery is one of the three major neurosurgical research centers in the world.
The center has two national key specialties of the Ministry of Health, two national key disciplines of the Ministry of Education, one national key cultivation discipline of the Ministry of Education, one neurological medical quality control center and one national stroke quality control center; the other center is still in the cerebrovascular A lot of research work has been done in many fields such as the clinical evaluation of major new drug creation, the national engineering experiment of neurological regulation technology, and the research of brain tumor transformation medicine, which laid a solid foundation.
In the center collaborative research network construction, the center has established more than 1,000 network member units, laying the foundation for large-scale clinical research; the center relies on Tiantan Hospital to also set up biological samples and case resources of cerebrovascular disease, brain tumor, neurodegenerative disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis spinal cord tumors and congenital or hereditary neurological diseases, providing a guarantee for further in-depth research.
