Professor Zhao Jizong is a M.D., Professor and the dean of Capital Medical University School of Neurosurgery. He is the vice director of the Chinese Institute for Brain Research, Beijing. His specialty includes clinical research and work of brain tumors, cerebral vascular diseases, head trauma and minimal invasive neurosurgery. Professor Zhao has published over 400 articles in China and abroad. He has been the president of China Neurosurgical Society since 2004, international membership with AANS, Marshal of World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS), the president of Beijing Neurosurgical Society, the president of Beijing Neurosurgeons Society. Deputy chief-editor of National Medical Journal in China, editor of Surgical Neurology and Neurosurgery in USA, Neurosurgical Review in Germany. He is the chief editor of Neurosurgery, Brain Tumor Surgery and Minimal Invasive Neurosurgery. The College of Surgeons of Hong Kong bestows its highest honor of Honorary Fellowship to professor Zhao in 2017 and he was awarded the Wu Jieping Medical Prize in 2018.
