Hyacinth Care (HD patient group) and CHDN work together to promote the research and care of HD in China, thank you. Hyacinth Care is the only public interest organization in China under the charge of Ms. Cao Xi.
Together with Hyacinth Care, Prof. Huang Yue from China National Clinical Research Centre for Neurological Diseases and Prof. Zhang Jianguo, leader of functional neurosurgery team at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, affiliated to Capital Medical University, jointly organized a doctor-patient exchange seminar in Beijing in 2018.
Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University is the Northern Center of CHDN and it is jointly maintained by Prof. Zhang Jianguo’s team (functional neurosurgery team) from Beijing Tiantan Hospital and Professor Huang Yue’s team (Familial neurological degenerative disease team) at CNCRC_ND.
CNCRC_ND is preparing a longitudinal study through patient registration for patients with neurodegenerative diseases, which has been approved by the Ethical Committee of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, and enrol HD on will be the first registration among other neurodegenerative diseases. Enrol HD is a part of global project funded by CHDI, which is intended to establish patient’s medical records, provide the necessary materials and information for clinical research and provide healthcare information and latest advances to patients through long-term follow-up of the enrolled patients. Thus, providing more valuable information to researchers and to those who volunteer to participate in the project for effective health management.
With the help from CHDN and taking the advantage from this successful conclusion of this meeting, Huntington Disease Registration Project run by China National Clinical Research Centre for Neurological Diseases, Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University is about to begin!
